For the past 26 years, graduate students at the University of Chicago have collaborated with their colleagues at the University of Michigan to organize a student-run conference in linguistic anthropology. The location alternates between the two universities. 

This academic year, the "Michicagoan" will be hosted at the University of Chicago and organized by students from the Departments of Anthropology, Linguistics, and Comparative Human Development, as well as from the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.
